yea, its your call on how much the virus takes over the body; entirely or just bits and pieces, as long as its clear to the viewer

to clear up a few thoughts, the creature doesn't have to resemble a bird, it can be a ladybug type thing, or better yet, something completely original and out of the ordinary like a blimp.
now dont go overboard with the whole virus idea; ie, slapping on robotic helicopter propellers on a creature that did not have that in it's original form... also, the creature doesnt have to be drawn mid flight, but it would help illustrate the point. air or ground, your call ![]()

I love how graceful the sea-to-sky creatures are. I may have chosen to do something... a tad more unusual. I hope this doesn't qualify as going overboard... heh. I have never drawn hippos before, but they have pretty awesome dinosaur feet. I was just playing around tonight - some quick hippo sketches.
