Default Program for recording of creation?

I hope this is the right section for this question. I thought so since it concerns a 2D work, it's just intended to work like an animation. If not please point me in the right direction?

I'm more a traditional arts person and the one program I'm halfway good at is my trusty photoshop 7. The world of programs is a book with seven seals for me.

If you know William Kentridge, you'll have a general idea what I want to do. He uses stop-motion technique to capture stages of his drawings (which change while he draws and it work as animations). Each drawing is a scene. 6-8 pics a second.

I'm working on something similar but instead of with paper and camera I want to do it with photoshop. I COULD save (and number them -.-) into folders every few seconds but that severely hampers the spontanity and workflow. Even elaborate shortcuts aren't ideal and while I don't mind inserting hundreds of pics into flash manually I would rather not.

What I would need is a program that records the development on my 'digital sheet'. Is there something in existance that would fit the bill?

(My mother tongue is German, I hope I described it the right way)

    Hey
There are many software's around and Photoshop CS6 is also capable of doing it too...but i am still not clear what exactly are you looking for..

-Sketching in PS then making an animation
    or
    - Pencil sketching(scanning) and then making it an animation..

But just look at some other software alternatives like..

http://beta.toonboom.com/ (some pro and home software's)

    http://boinx.com/istopmotion/overview/
    http://www.dragonframe.com/
    http://www.stopmotionpro.com/

    Hope this will help
