    Default Animation project

    I know this is a stretch to put on this thread but as its 2d and a WIP i thought I'd post it anyways :P
    I'm planning an 3d animation project for the upcoming school year and here are my current concepts. They're still early in the design process as I have until September to finalize everything. Critiques at this early stage would be extremely welcome!

      From a design standpoint, it seems to me like you've got a mishmash of various elements in the character design. I see desert-worn cloths, what looks like armor on his shoulders & around his legs, and some sort of tron like suit underneath everything. So I'm somewhat confused on what his role is in this universe. Is he a nomad, a recon solider, or just a lifer? The tools on his belt are hard to read and I really can't tell what I'm looking at. Also, his boots look heavy, not something I would want to walk through sand in.

      Not exactly a critique, but more like minor observations that I hope give you some ideas or direction

        thanks kraemology. He's a soldier that's been left behind and has seen too many sand dunes. I did mishmash on the character a little too much. I was going for a dune/tron/Nathan drake hybrid and it could be a lot better.

        I didn't realize that about the boots. my armor knowledge is lacking a little.
        but hey thanks man for the feedback! its great stuff at this early stage.
