I'm ready to purchase a laptop that has pressure sensitivity (wacom i'm hoping)/touch screen. i need something that will have lots of ram, powerful processor, decent video card since i'll mostly be using it for work where i use zbrush and modo. i need something so i can be sculpting on my train ride commute everyday/texturing.


i'm hoping cghub community will be able to recommend a decent machine, a lot is out there and it seems like a lot of machines are crap. recommend anything to me please, i'll gladly check out, i'd really appreciate any help on this.

Laptops and tablets are different and to be very frank, i don't think tablets can be very useful here.
Passive screens i.e:- those that can be operated by your finger(Touch screens), don't have pressure sensitivity that includes ipad etc. (not good for drawing pro stuff)

There are some that come with Wacom Digitizer which includes Asus Eee Slate series(E121) which are decent but will not have features to run Modo to it's optimum potential.
Axiotron Modbook is a decent product as well but is very expensive and i would not recommend it.

I would rather suggest you to buy a decent laptop according to your own need and get a Wacom bamboo along with that.

Laptops and tablets are different and to be very frank.
If to easy to carry, can buy a laptop computer, but it is more convenient to some of the desktop software use.for example ,
