I'm a self taught artist, been recently taking life drawing though so I can improve my anatomy.

Live drawing/painting is very nice. But a good tip is to have books, or CD's or simply a library of model photos, so you can look at whenever you need. It's handy to have them there a any moment.

Other tip is look at yourself in the mirror as if you were a study subject. Obsere how your features are combined and your own proportions. Looking for exprssions? A small hand mirror may be handy as well when you are at the computer and have doubts

Your piece is interesting, nice colors and motif, but the anatomy needs to take more shape. Keep improving
