Default New Monastery

After messing around with my last Monastery piece, and talking with some classmates/instructors, I had decided to just start a new image completely. I think the lighting/color was more realistic in the last image, but the composition is more interesting in this one.
Again, I need to form an obvious focal point somewhere in the monastery.

    Lookin' good Kronso, my one crit is that right now the big chunk of rock in the middle is the focus. That might just be due to the detailed hard brush used on it and I"m sure you'll work that out

    irawan: the rock on the right looks like it's in the foreground to me due to the saturation, but the water drips behind the stone gate. maybe add a bit of atmospheric perspective there. otherwise lookin' pretty sharp

    Progress. Monastery is still just a placeholder right now, I need to come up with a design...

      Default Nice!

      @horus – thanks man! 
      @ira – hey man great updates, very lively and lovely colors as well…
      @irish – hey i lie kit cause it almost looks like a factory… jst keep working with the values… i think it has too much contrast.
      @liffey – hey nice…. I like the softness of it…. Maybe add more contrast to the areas that are closer to the viewer 
      @shaggy – hey man, its cool…  great thumbs, just make sure the building thats far away has less contrast tan the one closer to us…. That way you pus hit further back and get some distance 
      @canaan – very cool indeed… very soft and pleasant… keep playing with the contrast to push things forward and back 
      @kronso – definitely a better shot…. It looks awsome… cant wait for final! 
      @dmia – thats looking great, i can see feng spirit! 

      GUYS….AWSOME STUFF! KEEP WORKING… ALMOST A WEEK TO GO.

            Was inspired immediately by this, been workin all day. Decided to go for snowy Russian inspired architecture.

            Love the lighting on your water lizhulong, really beautiful. And your rocks are awesome, I always struggle with those.

            i think i´m done with this, to be my first "serious" environment i´m not completely disappointed. Learned a bit about rendering with different kind of brushes and how distance affects colors and so on.

            btw your stuff here is great, truly inspiring.

                Here is my first sketch. A place where architecture was inspired by a man himself and integrated deeply into environment. This mankind/nature monastery is for those who seek total concentration on what they are doing and to get positive energy.

                A tree is growing on the "dome" glass and collecting energy from the nature which passes throught trunk to the roots and goes to monks which are training or meditating. (will visualise this with colors.

                Also few stoned titans which holding true life - woman with water blah blah..
