Here's a WIP of a creature concept for a fantasy action sidescroller game I'm working on with a group of friends. This creature would be the cannon fodder baddy; fast and plentiful, but easy to take down. I'm still super early into this WIP, but I thought I would put it out there and see how it's looking to the masses. I'm mostly concerned with how to make this design a bit more unique without taking away the spindly Gollum-esque familiarity of the basic shape. Thoughts on this WIP? Did I mention that it's a WIP?

I like the head and overall feel of the character. Obviously I'd like to see the same definition in the face throughout the rest of the body.

Some other random thoughts:
-The head feels to small compared to the body. Or perhaps the neck feels to big? I'm not sure, I'd look at how the head attaches.

-I know the body is loose right now, but I think you should add some larger finger and toenails.

I'd also give him some more color. Right now he looks like Gollum's cousin.

I look forward to some updates.
