nice start, some of your pencils get a bit scratchy but your digital colors are pretty nice. keep it up!

Just another quick update.

I was trying to design an interesting Fae, something to practice painting a more detailed face for, but I didn't like where it was going. Remembering some old Fae mythos of 'horned ones' I ended up coming up with something a bit more alien.

The Creature of the week competition certainly is a good reason to try keeping the creature designs up to scratch too.

Update time!

This Weeks CoW contest is also a personal favourite of mine too. It's to design a creature for the Magic the Gathering trading card game. I've been playing this for a few years so it'll be very cool to try designing some things for it.

Here's what I have so far anyway:

BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY: This weeks CHoW was the Intergalactic Burlesque Goddess, my entry has actually made it to the point where it's fighting for the top spot by just a vote or two, here are some of the development ideas and sketches I did before creating the final piece:

Sup, man! You've got an interesting style, dude! REally like that keymaster you've done for chow!
One problem I'm noticing in your work are some readability issues. Your renbdering style is quite sketchy which is fine, but some areas on your paintings don't appear as clear as they should, especially on the Tangle stalker and minnesota mouthed monster. Just a bit more refining in certain areas can help loads. Best thing to do is to zoom out of the image and see if everything reads from a distance as it is supposed to. Also play with those values as well.
