    Default Low Poly Head Model

Hi, I was wondering if I could have some helpful critiques on improving poly flow and general anatomy in my model.

1)N-Gons (5 Sided Polygons) are not acceptable(only triangles or Quads).
2)No to Poles (6 edges connecting to one Vertex).
3)Edges are called Edge loops because they should be in loops.

Rest is nicely done..so keep it up and try to mimic good topological flow and rest will come naturally

I think this is not low poly. The low poly do not have any smooth, and some parts have too much polygons (earring, eyeball, ear, mouth...) I think this is high poly head.

The bigger problem is the anatomy and personality.

The head itself is a little out of proportion. I would look to some references in regard to the back top of it, as well as the positions of the features, namely the eyes - in relation to each other.

Thanks Zentrope your comments were very helpful! I can't believe I missed that n-gon though, It's so obvious now that you pointed it out!

artofillusion, you mentioned anatomy and personality could you expand?

LSheridan, thank you, I definitely will. Did you have any suggestions for good reference?

@artofillusion ..I agree that low poly don't have such a smooth display but it's a screenshot of Maya's viewport with "High Quality Display" settings applied (just press 3)..(A Max User )

@KittoArt...For references, just look into 3d.sk..And when ever you are working with something just chalk out the major outlines(or distinctive features).Hope it helps
