Hey guys so I am starting the WIP thread for this challenge. It is a tad bit late but I had work. I think this production challenge is awesome and I can't help but want to enter the 2D as well as the 3D one. The big quest for me is to complete both in these coming weeks, as we all know the deadline is pretty near! I am gonna work all day everyday if I want to make something good!
Here are the three concepts I have for the illustration. They are so ugly at this point, and this is the reason I HATE WIP threads is to show people incomplete things. I am a self-diagnosed OCD artist it kills me to let people see the wires underneath the sculptures if you know what I mean but here they are.

So at this point after several rough sketch I came up with a milestone for first concept. What needs to be decided are the color palette for this illustration, method of expression and composition.
Right now I am digging the first person perspective concept. I think this is a somewhat unique approach to this challenge and I secretly love distorted perspective even though I am all for realism.
