Default Amaakir's Sketchbook

Hey, guys

I decided to post some of my sketches here. I usually never have the time to digitally start drawing, but my moleskines go wherever I go so they usually fill up pretty quickly.

Thank you, hope you enjoy and comments are most welcome!

Please, excuse any depressive ramblings on how bad an artist I am

Thank you, Shuty! I started my career as a digital artist doing art for kids and educational stuff. Been trying to evolve into something a bit more mature ever since

Nothing wrong with doing stuff for kids, I wish I could, but I really like how simple yet effective the style you used on the dragons is, it's definitely something I 'd like to learn keep up the good work!

Not entirely happy with my work on the Red Queen for the Anatomicae challenge, I decided to work a lot more on it and accomplish a REAL finished image. It will definitely not be ready for the challenge, but I think its a great opportunity to work on some of the things I consider I need to work a lot more on. For instace, repainting a lot of stuff from a single layer lol
Anyway, heres the WIP for the Red Queen Revisited. Added a background and some worshipers to add a little background story to the whole thing. Any comments will be very much appreciated

Like the update a lot. Nice story telling.

        hey buddy!
keep pushing that red queen piece....
right now it has more story behind it!
maybe try not to divide so much those muscles....and maybe add her some sharp armor or props like bracelets or neclace or something!
        keep it up man!

        Hey, guys!
Thanks for the comments and suggestions, they fuel me up to keep up with this

Heres some more on the Red Queen Revisited, I've added some more elements on the Red Queens Design, the cape of flesh has been extended over her head in a way to crown her, also added some bracelets and a sort of transparent silk cloth that comes down from the thingy on her neck (Really got to search how that thing is called instead of calling it thingy XD)
Anyway, I think as of the moment it serves as a good sketch to go onward from. Any comments and suggestions will be highly appreciated

        hey buddy! cool!
its good u go to bw to check on your values...
those guys on the foreground should have more contrast than the queen... but also depends on the lighting situation..... keep working it!

@JoseVega: You're absolutely right about the contrast I'll work a lot more on it and I'm thinking about adding a fourth guy right in front of the queen, begging for his life. Also considering opening the Queens mouth an have some nasty tentacles coming out towards the guy in front of her. Im getting really excited on this personal, experimental little art piece, thanks for your crits, man!
