Default Comic Fonts: Which one do you like?

    Hey all,

For those of you that do comics on a computer or webcomics or the like, I was curious as to what kind of font you use for your speech text? I have been sifting through the internet looking for a suitable font, but most of the really good ones seem to be really high priced at sites like comicbookfonts.com or blambot.com. I found a font based on Adam Warren's handwriting as well as some other good ones on a few free sites, but I wanted to see if anybody here knows about other noteworthy ones out there for download and is willing to share information about them.

    Thanks for reading!

Depends on the genre but all these suit my needs quite well.

      Anime Ace
      Arcadepix
      Badaboom
      Chronicles of a Hero
Digital Script ( I find myself using this the most)
      Feast of Flesh
      Footlight MT
      Manga Temple

Just to name a few. Hope that helps!

No problem. Some of these fonts come from a free font wiki I have on my Google homepage, and other are from like Comicfonts.com or 1001freefonts.com. Good luck, I hope to see some good comic work from you soon then.

Thanks, I hope to have a little free time to practice doing sequential stuff sometime this summer, as I am a complete noob at this sort of thing. Oh well, practice makes perfect, right?
            Thanks again for the fonts!

When I get around to it, I do weekly/monthly practice comics myself. You can see them off my blog however the point is I'd be happy to practice with you if you wanted.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind!
School is currently swamping me at the moment, but once I get some free time this summer, I might take you up on that. My schedule is kind of a question mark for the summer right now besides a summer job and exercise, but that'd be cool to try out!
Thanks for the sentiment, I really appreciate it!

                  No problem.

Oh, and one more website for comic fonts. Some are free and others are for pay.

BlamBot has the best comic fonts because that's they're specialty, but the site I go to for more multi-purpose font use is DAFont. It's well categorized, and they have a whole section just for handwritten fonts, with close to 400 choices. Not all of them will work, but they're all shareware/freeware. http://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=603
                      Good luck!
