Question How to make a top down view comic interesting ?

Here's the thing: I have zero experience in making comics yet I want to make a short webcomic serie based on a video game (not telling which ATM).
Because I don't draw that well and it wouldn't be worth the time (it's only fan art) I've decided to use screenshots from the game to make the comic. Fortunately there's a level editor and I'll be able to choose and position characters as well as walls etc.

And my problem is that it's a top down view game and something tells me that such view is inherently boring. Thus my question: how do I make it interesting ?

If the visuals are not, as you call it, "interesting", then you'll need to rely on better than average dialog. I've read a few web-type comic with less than stelar graphics/art and it's the witty dialog that retains the readers.

You could also use the text as a form of decoration (to draw the reader in, and hold them with the dialog) to compensate for the uninteresting birds-eye-view composition. HTH
