Here's a value study i did today, i've also tried to apply a bit of Sam's technique, thanks again man.
THe facial features are flowing around here and there, but the value was my main concern in that excersise.

Nice job on that last one dude! The texture you put in works really well.

Do you do any sketches? I mean like pages and pages of anatomy studies and all that. Works really well to learn the basics while not having to worry about color and value and handling brushes. Just a pencil and paper.

Love that skull earlier in your sb btw, nice loose brushwork and colors.

well i used to do it, alot of it but then i got the job to save money for studying at watts atelier. Now i have little time and energy left for any personal stuff but, i'm trying to get back to habit of doing it. To be honest i did fill few pages yesterday, but i'm currently out of scanner, so you'll have to wait for them to appear here.

              Meet my mate, The Pencil.

So here are some sketches i've promised, they're not the cool drawings some may hoped for. Simple studies and doodles, with mistakes all over them.

Here's a speedpainting titled "A Journey to Tibet", it's the last painting this year. The next post will show up early 2012. I'd like to wish you happy new year, and let it be even better than the previous one!

                  Hello everybody!

Thanks for the wonderfull feedback, you've no idea how much it means to me to have fellow artists by my side improving and struggling alongside. So here me out it;s official, I LOVE YOU ALL FOR THAT!

                  ScalC Thanks!

JoseVega It's more simple that you imagine. Maake those soft transitions witrh a big soft rbush and then use thighter strokes with less soft rbushes as you go, that's it! Really However, the point is, it requires a lot of practice to not overuse the soft brush.

malo You flatter me mate, keep on rockink' i check your sketchbook more often now, you produce some high end stuff there!

A lil' study i did today.
