    Default CharacterFORGE 2D #021 :: Pin-Up Mermaid!

    CharacterFORGE 2D :: ROUND 021 :: Pin-Up Mermaid
    Important! Please go over Plagiarism and other FAQs for these activities.

    And..check out the The Challenge RULES

    How to Attach Images
    ****************************************

    This challenge is straight forward.

    Design a sexy pin-up style mermaid. The only requirement is that she must be part aquatic, part humanoid, she must be above water or on land, and she must look sexy.

    The rest is up to you.

    Optional: If you *really must* put her in the water, that's fine. You can create one or two mermaids.

    The time limit for this challenge is longer due to the holiday season. Enjoy!!!

      Super sweet challenge! ^w^ Just one question.

      By saying we can create one or two mermaids do you mean: two separate mermaid pictures so we can have one painting of a mermaid in water and one out of it, or two mermaids in the same image and have one placed in water and one out? (sorry for the long sentence)

                  This sounds really interesting I've been kinda busy these days so I'm not 100% sure about finishing on time, but I'll give it a try .
                  One question though, the mermaid can be a mix of a woman and any aquatic creature or just a fish?

                    It seems that we both have a similar pose haha! Not to worry, I'm making changes to mine.

                    For yours, I would tilt her head and have her look to the right. Also, changing her body pose to lean more on one side might be a better angle. Check out Victoria Secret models - that's where I'm headed too to get some reference.

                      Any aquatic creature combination. It's open to your imagination.

                        Heiya! I was bored and did my own sketch, wanted to give it a darker look or so. Whatever i'm so noob as you can check in my gallery and i dont even know to colour with photoshop. So here is the pencil-drawn sketch scanned... "for fun"

                        The right hand is supposed to have some kin of scepter or similar and the landscape could be a cave or smthin with corals...
                        Up to suggestions, tips!

                            Starting to add color. I adjusted her arms to a fold, I think it makes for a better pin-up pose.

                            Time to work on the background now.
