Cave Men

Deadline: 12th of Decemeber 2011 at noon GMT

Ancient humanoids that lived in Caves were known rather imaginatively as Cavemen, though science has recently found there were two distinct species of early human - Neanderthals being one and the ones we evolved into being another.

There is also the option of more modern cave men, wild men or hermits that dwell in natural rock formations from early history forwards. It is your choice.

As long as they are people and they live in a cave you are free to let your imagination run wild.

Please only enter art that is done for this challenge, if it was started before this challenge began it was not eligible.[/b]

Hello all! I'm excited to get started sketching. My Cavemen submission is going to deal with the theme of tribal history. It seems that the most we know about the people whom lived in caves are by what they leave behind and what they draw on the walls. I've tried to capture an intimate moment of an elder seeing a youngster off on his first hunt.
Every past successful hunt, every trial, and every death in the tribe is laid out on the cave walls. Before every hunt, a hand is placed on the wall of their home and history.
Any crits are welcomed of course.

I�ve been doing some sketches on paper maybe ill scan them later so you guys can help me out which one to finish off

Grin- absolutely lovely sketch =) I thought of going on this way also ( something related to the ancient wall drawings and their relationship with magic and stuff) but as you�re doing it in an awesome way I�ll just follow some more "warriorish" sketches i�ve done ahahha keep it up =)

I thought id do a caveman take on the murder of Ceaser. I've heard history repeats itself if we don't learn from it. Maybe the cavemen ran into a similar scenario on a smaller, tribe-like scale? O.o and of course its the early stages so any feed back is great!
