If anyone could spare the time, I would love to get some critiques.

I started with grey scale and tried adding color with a multiply layer, but that technique never seems to work out for me. Any advice on getting that right would be great.

You can try flattening your image and copy the whole thing to a new layer. Then select "Color" from the drop down menu of your paint brush and paint right over the new layer (not in a new layer). I find that works well.

I always make a new layer in case I mess something up.
