Here I go, starting with the head, I'm not very good at blocking the whole shape and later on start refining, so I'm building it from the nose to the tail, so, here is the starting head.

Any tips and tricks about feline modeling are very welcome. Cheers

      Hello.

Haven't had any time till today to get started on this but I thought I'd put up the progress made tonight as a way of getting my ball rolling.

Originality might be out of the window for me as I'm doing a pretty standard ww2 era sniper but with a little fun twist I'm hoping to pull off.

All the proportions and block-out here are mega early but I hope it gives a flavour of the area I'm heading. I like idkfas' technique of getting a good head sculpt early to set the tone of the whole piece so I think that's what will be next.

      C&C welcome.

May as well enter. Its good practice to see how quickly I can take concept to production. This is a quick sketch of the character type. I think I'm gonna lose the muscle tho.Name: charForge3D-CA.png

                Hi All

I decided to go with more realistic standard soldier type. Started with base mesh, and sculpted out the base form, didn't worry too much, as most of it will be covered, but it always helps to fit the rest of the parts. Took that to Maya and extracted pieces for clothing etc. Blocked out most of the parts and shapes, still need to add the various packs, ammo, holsters and gadgets, and then detailing and symmetry breakup.
