    Default Colour keys

@Amaakir: Yea it looks better now! =)

My progress so far. Very slow, don't know if I can make it T.T cos I'll be out of town for the weekend.

Anyway, I completed the outline (unless perhaps I need to add buildings in the background, which I haven't decided on yet). I also experimented with 2 colour keys. Initially I tried a blue-ish mood, which is sort of Christmas-ish, but then I thought maybe I need it to look more steampunk-ish, so I added some brown into the 2nd one.

What do you guys think? Blue or brown?

@blue327: Id really like to see a much bigger image of the colored version, however, if I may say, I'm liking the brownish version Nice intense lighting btw! And I think with some building silhouettes in the background would be sufficient Also, how about moving the crown closer to the viewer? Make it bigger and make it darker so that it may contrast with the rest of the piece, that would give a greater sense of depth in your piece imo
@Emraht: You mean like placing rats eyes on the shadow of the nutcracker or just to add more eyes to the dark areas? I'll give it a thought on both of ur suggestions since, as blue327, I'll be out of town for the weekend studying :P

So I've totally revised my design, making a more trim suit for my nutcracker. Still not sure what to do compositionally or colourwise. I'm thinking red, navy, and gold or silver. Mabye more blue metallics

I have been swamped with work and other matters this week. So I am extending this challenge for another week so those that want to finish may do so.

          New deadline - December 2.

I have a feeling that this is my first forum post on cghub

So here is my current wip for the sort of proportions I'm going for. Big arms that crack nuts, not edible nuts but cranium nuts : D

Edit, thought I'd add an extra wip to show more process.
