there shoul've been a finals thread and stuff ... so i dunno what's going on

I know that the people who run these challenges are volunteers, so I could understand the challenge running a bit late (maybe one to two days). But the challenge deadline was on the 14th and today is the 23rd.

That's nine days.

Now, I know that putting up the finals page and getting the poll set up can take a considerable amount of time depending on the number of submissions, but, barring extreme circumstances, I find it hard to believe that in those nine days, time couldn't be found to meet up with the challenge deadline. Communication is key between leaders (community volunteers) and their followers. A simple message communicating a predicament or real-life circumstances that do not allow a timely execution of the challenge would be nice.

So, perhaps we could be given a minute or two of time so that we know what's going on.

Hello everyone,

First and foremost, I must offer my sincerest of apologies for such ridiculous delay in any kind of information concerning this challenge. I can only say that for the past week and a half I've been excruciatingly busy, to the point where all other thoughts were pushed aside.

Now please understand that is no excuse for this kind of delay, but that's just the kind of workload I am faced with now.

Concerning this particular challenge I will post up the finals forums, and leave it open for people to put up their work. The finals will close this Monday the 28th. promptly after the voting will commence and we shall have a new end of year challenge.

On my part I will contact other moderators to ensure that this kind of delay does not happen again and also reevaluate my involvement with the challenge as I am no longer fit to mod properly , especially with the lack of time in my schedule.

You all deserve challenges to be on time, especially since you all give so much of your own time.

My apologies and this will not happen again

Hello gang,

I just found out about CGHub not that long ago and decided to participate in the activities. So here it is, my very first post . It's still sketchy but I hope you can see where I'm going with this. Just started on it today, hope I can finish it by the deadline; if not it's still a really good exercise for me.
