@Noro: Im afraid I dont kow who that is. Could you give me a link or something?

Something different for now: Back in design school I once visited an adobe after effects class and made a little video... the only video so far. ^^

Sadly I have no idea how to implement the video here so that you can just see it... the embed code should do, but it doesnt. So the naked link has to do it. T_T

        Glad you like it Cheo.

Finally found my motivation again and started doing screen cap studies.
I am kinda frustrated right now, because my working process is such a mess. Working from a ref/ photo/ life is fine and easy, but building up a picture and searching for the right colors and values in a made up scenery and still making it look believable still gives me a ton of problems.

        Hey vaejoun,
Still dig the video! Great take on it. I think you only have to copy and paste the last part of the link (numbers and letters) into the [yt]-thing
Last take looks good! Really like those night/early morning mood. Maybe add a bit of fog into that. I think this will add a bit to the story and the mood as well…
        Just my 2 cents

I know its not done yet but I have to share this guy, its just so much fun to paint him.

By the way, painting start to make fun from the point when you finally can make something loook like you want it to. And at least on this piece it seems to work. The values loook believable and it has a painterly flair. Now I will work it out some more.

Wow hard worker, lots of cool stuff.

Sketchbook pen pages are my favourite Great figure knowledge!

Pose on the creature is awesome too. Personally I like the one in the cave, with the strong underlighting most - I think that can work really well.
