Gumustdo - I really like the engagement of the mortal and angel of the 3rd image down! There are great focal points in the composition here created by the sword and energy ball and I like the framework of fallen rubble, as if the figure has been searching through ancient ruins and has stumbled upon this awe-inspiring force. Just a matter of finding a place for the wings (maybe can do something more subtle/translucent?). I also love the disconnected limbs. That is just cool!

roarti - Coming together nicely! He's a very intimidating 'solid' angel. Just gotta keep shaping it up and bringing some seams into the armor! Especially in the crotch area. I had the same issue with mine and ended up with a codpiece. Whether angels would wear codpieces, who can say? But it looks odd not detailing the crotch somehow. xD (Loin cloth or tunic over the armor, when in doubt?)

JanDegle - Wow the angle on this has a lot of energy and emotion! I also love the effect of rippling translucent armor made of some sort of crystal or solidified energy. Lots of cool lighting effects you can play with here! I can see the downward sweep of wings equaling some great motion in your composition when you add them. Keep on going!

        Wow, cool submissions so far.

Roarti, I like the sheen in the swords you painted and the guy's helmet, it looks intimidating.

I almost forgot about this thread after working on the submission for the Angels 2d Drawing jam (if you haven't checked that thread out, please do, there are alot of cool entries so cast your vote! .

Here's what i came up with so far, still refining the silhouette as I try to get a feel for which direction i want to take this guy in. I think i'm going to change his left arm so it's holding the sword downwards and his right arm will probably just be resting on his hip. Or i'll crop the whole thing so you can see his face better instead of having his wings show so much.
