Default Drawing Jam #61 :: Pets





Pets

Deadline: 10th of October 2011 at noon GMT




Draw a pet, it could be your pet it could be someone else's pet. Be it a fluffy puppy or a hairy spider, it can be a realistic rendering or a cartoon representation.

Restriction: No mythological creatures here, real world animals only.

Please only enter art that is done for this challenge, if it was started before this challenge began it was not eligible.

          This is going to be my first ever entry into the drawing jam!

          I'm excited and nervous at the same time...lol

          I've looked every single one so far..such awesome creativity, everyone.

          Now I gotta shut up and start working on my ideas

            Sweet. This is gonna be fun! Here's my progress thus far:



            I also attached the few images I used for reference. Felt like doing a play on that one well known photo of the puppy climbing a bamboo vine with someone's pet Pekingese.

            Because pekingese are the best.

              Default chameleon


              i know im doing a chameleon but i dont think im going to do a realistic one like i was practicing. experimenting with colors. anyone have any good ideas?

                Default Fowl trial run


                This is my absolute first time in a drawing JAM so do me gently please!
                Well, we have chickens as pets. This is a muro sketch of an Araucana, a south american breed that lays green/blue egss and is very 'energetic' and friendly.

                Not that happy, but it is time to draw the line...

                  I've never felt the need for a pet myself, so I decided to draw someone who might. Rough concept for experimenting with the colour scheme and composition. Feedback, as always, is welcome.
