Hello everyone!
This is one of my first post here in CGHub. I've been following you and this thread but never post before cause I've been finishing my website/portfolio (just released!!) Well, I love the idea of "remake" tarot cards, so I could not let it go. I have chosen the Justice one. I don't really know why, cause I don't feel too much identified with the justice idea, but I think the idea of drawing a woman with a sword is enough to start painting. This is the process of the rough sketch in grayscale: Now I think I should start with the color. I don't want to have a really detailed grisaille because then color it is like work twice, don't you think? This is a detailed pic to show you the stage it is now: What do you think about it? Now I am not sure about the lions. They are a personal license and do not appear in the original card. In a first moment i though they are related with justice (i think) and they fit well in the throne. Shall I keep it or delete before coloring? I'm in a heap of indecision. Well, go ahead everyone! Your drawings are amazing!!! |
