Thanks for constructive critique. After cropping and adjusting in PS I'm at this point. Will keep working on parts of the cave sides - any other suggestions before I consider it done?

Very cool to see, how you all are developing your images!
Sadly i forget always, to do some WIP's, so here's mine image. I would call it finished, but i want to ask you, guys. What do you think, can I do something better, is it clear, what I try to narrate with my picture?

            Default The Wizard of Ood

Lately I've been watching a lot of Dr. Who episodes and was inspired by the Ood creatures of that show. I was also a bit inspired by the Swamp Thing. So I created my own version of an Ood. He is a healer. Enjoy, it was fun!

At this point everything is set in place, and it's just down to rendering everything out- Picking up details of the foreground leaves, fixing the illumination of the light sources, doing details in places that wouldn't be quite so out-of-focus.

It was a good learning picture, but it has a lot of issues that can't really be fixed without entirely changing it.

Really cool stuff guys, here is my wip. Gotta fix some anatomical issues and going to make the creature a bit more "fantasy" in the end I want to keep it fairly loose though.

Some awesome entries taking shape in here! We only have a few more days so let's get this entries polished and ready to turn in! I'll be posting the finals thread in a minute.

I did a small sketch. I was thinking about a desert planet - very arid. Not sure if I'll have time to finish this but thought I'd throw up a sketch - you are all so inspiring!

Here's where I'm at so far. I don't want to overwork this painting (which I have a tendency to do with all my work because it's SO hard to resist putting in a ton of detail), but perhaps this is enough except for a bit more texture in the snails and insects trapped in the slimy net? I'll add some plant matter in the foreground to make the silhouette of the environment a bit more interesting, too, and will soften up edges here and there. I'm not sure if I"ll color it as I'm kinda liking the greenish tint.

            Default Ciao

Hello everybody, I know it is quite late but I hope to be in time yet. Those are some wips. It's the first time I take part to this challenge and I would like to know what you think about them.

            Awesome job so far everyone!

            A few quick thoughts:

@Pixelchick - awesome idea! I love the creature. You might try keeping the values more contrasted on the creature and then greying them out in the background for some depth? keep it up!

@matteospirito - Welcome to the challenge! Excellent start! I really like the body plan of your critter. Keep it up!

Remember this is due tonight! Be sure to have your final images posted in the Finals thread before midnight PST!
