Further progress. Moving on to finer detail. Not sure if the trickles of blood are overdoing it. The planes of the hands bother me a bit. Unsure about the "crown". Maybe remove completely or replace with a halo design of some sort.

@ Macabre: I like your piece. I especially am excited to see what those mechanical wings are going to turn out to be. However, I feel like your lady might have a little bit of a large head. I used to do this all the time, so I thought I would do a quick touch up to see what you thought. If you don't like it you can take it or leave it.

What I did: Shrunk and squashed head, cut off a bit of the neck, added a bit more forehead, and shrunk the mouth a bit.

Still kinda hard to tell what's going on in this sketch at the moment, but here's a rough idea of where I'm headed. The costume of the angel will be in the style of Erte/art deco with patterns. The wings are composed of scrolls and will have text written over them. The headpiece is somewhat like a flame. The figure will be tall, perhaps angular, and long-limbed, so I'll shoot for a more stylized piece.

a picture of an angel...i have decided quite mundanely to do lucifer...azriel was tempting but i wanted apples in my picture.
anyway the idea is that he is blind but has seven eyes floating about doing his bidding, one for each deadly sin...
