Default Thomas Kinkade signed with Disney

...so wrong. But then...I have nothing good to say about Kinkade. He brings out my vitriolic side when I can be bothered at all.

That first paragraph cracks me up. :P

Well, clearly, they are not paintings, they are just prints, maybe he even goes as far as to sign them himself, who knows who wide his magnanimity reaches. Maybe he can't legaly call them paintings, who knows.

And no wonder they are targeting real people, it's much easier to screw up lay people out of their money than those who actually have some knowledge of the market.

I can't really diss his art, he was once a good background painter (he worked on Fire & Ice with James Gurney) but he decided to put all his xp's after that in dodgy marketing ploys and not in bettering his skills. That's kinda lame, but he's much richer than I am, which is important to some people.

Could be a lesson for many artists, and why incorporating can be important. I'm sure he is still plenty rich, the company probably can't stay afloat paying certain "salaries"

Just saying big difference between a the firm going bankrupt and the man himself

I didn't look at more than one of his videos. The Pinocchio one. Love how he's "waving" a brush around in his hand. Without actually doing anything with it. Uhm... is it there to convince people that he actually is a painter? Or what?

Haha! I thought I was the only hater of some guy painting pastely cottages and marketing them to Christian bookstores for way more than anyone should pay. I know so many people who are deceived by his simplistic ploys to convince that this is what art is. People to get on here and hit the random button to see some what real sweat and late nights produce!
