To answer your question a few posts back, just pick one and start there. What good is design if your characters look out of proportion? So perhaps start with anatomy. It really isn't too much difference between guys and girls once you get the basics down (males have wider shoulders and smaller pelvises, women have narrower shoulders and wider pelvises). Just remember when you look at photographs, try to see the shapes and forms of the human body, it will help with your proportion and values.

If I knew more about design, I would leave some tips behind. But unfortunately, I'm still behind on that. But ahh, if you ever come across anything interesting on design, don't hesitate to send me a message.

Love the lady and the last creature. Maybe try to push the red dude a bit further.
Add some darker and brighter areas to it - right now it looks evenly lightened.

Sure thing!!!!! You're absolutely on the right track! Keep up the studies and try to push you imaginative stuff. Maybe try to add your chars into a "surrounding". I know it's pretty tough - I'm still having this issue as well.
Well - I think the most important thing is to build up a strong portfolio. As I mentioned before - you're on the right track. Try to find a balance between imaginative stuff and studies. Or in other words try to focus on what you'd like to step in - film, games, etc. And than try to work on those images - you know what I mean?
