Man some awesome redesigns happening here and I couldn't pass this up so heres my WIP

This is a tough one, but I went with a pirate Captain Vader and wanna try to do an western outlaw Boba Fett version just for kicks not for the challenge

@gwfdesigns: hehehe never would have thought about going pirate. good stuff.

@savi: good start i like the pose. i think the legs are a bit too short but thats my 2 cents

@cheo36: I am really digging the textures in the armor! Also liking the clothing movement. Beautiful work.

@gwyn: I agree with @cheo on this, I think more clones and possibly a more dynamic composition? Square formats are notoriously difficult to make interesting. maybe widen the composition, add a few more clones?

@gwfdesigns: Liking the pirate concept. Will we get to see scurvy stormtroopers?

@savi: I like this, I also agree that the legs seem a little short� maybe it's the shape of the pants and coat? Interested to see color.

Everyone is looking good! Let's keep it going.

Luke:
Admittedly it's a little like the Force Unleashed guy but really... the buzzed hair is a lot better than Luke's ANH hair. Floppy 70's mess.

This moves from ANH to ESB to RoTJ where he has the robot hand/arm and ia a Jedi Master.

I'm loving all of mrdavidpoe's designs, also the Vaders are cool, and for some reason, the crossover of Vader and Batman seems fitting. : D

This is what i came up with, it's a re-imagining of the whole Leia hostage situation, with her being stuck inside Jabba's transparent belly in some kinda liquid. Changed Jabba from worm-like to more of a roach-like creature, and to Leia's costume, just a few changes, cause i still wanted to show a lot of skin..

Not sure if i'll ever manage to finish it, or meet the deadline. I have been a bit of a sloth lately when it comes to finished work. : <

Thanks mrda, and here's a first color pass. It might look like the belly is glowing, what i wanted to show was kind of a spotlight on jabba's lower half. I'll try to make that read accordingly.
The red light might have to be toned down more, cuz it's just secondary and it kinda steals the eye as it is now.

I can tell that rendering the whole liquid situation and the transparent epiderm is going to be criminal..

hey enix this is gonna look awsome. his stomach is def. an eye catch and focal point. im a little curious about how jabba stands. he seems like a straight on stiff tower, thou the angle is great maybe add a little curvature to its body? i dont know thats my 2 cents

.... anyways i do agree this is gonna be a fun to render
