    Default CharacterFORGE 2D #015 :: the ORACLE!

    CharacterFORGE 2D :: ROUND 015 :: the ORACLE!

    How to Attach Images
    ****************************************

    BRIEF: Design the Oracle known as Ambrosia in the late 1800's.

    Character Types: Immortal Humanoid (Mystic, Psychic)
    Setting: Late 1800's
    Race: Unknown humanoid (but they can appear in human form)
    Challenge Limitations: Adhere to 19th century fashion. If you wish to go steampunk, by all means do so!

    The turn of the 19th century is at hand, and the world is on a collision course for war. Unknown to most humans, there exists a secret group of oracles that have guided humanity on the right course through the ages. They have the appearance of humans, but sometimes they appear as something else entirely. The oracle that resides in London is called Ambrosia. She prefers to take a human female form, but sometimes she also appears in her "other" form. The oracle enjoys the company of large exotic cats, and is a true fashionista of the Victorian style of dress, sometimes adding a flare of steampunk design in her outifts. She prefers to use a large silver plate with water to look into the future, but she can use any body of water to use her mystic abilities. As one of the most powerful oracles on the planet, she has a major role in the outcome of World War 1.

    Design the Oracle known as Ambrosia in either her human or semi-human form. Her age is unknown, but prefers the appearance of a 35 year old female. Sometimes she appears as a young girl, sometimes as an elderly woman. The choice is yours!

      Oh wow, awesome topic! I just sketched out my idea and messed around in photoshop with it. I have a good idea for my final, but won't be able to start it until I get my God of War finished.

      Basically, multiple winged girl. I was really inspired by the sunrays shining through a tree at sunset, so I'm hoping to incorporate that allusion in my final.

      Can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with!

        Fun topic here! This won't be the final posing I use, but I doodled and this is the design that came from it. I kind of dithered about whether to put her in a larger dress but I figured if she's stylish, she wants to be more elegant, right? >.>

        At any rate, can't wait to start the final illustration:

                            Cold, I realize this may be intentional, but I feel like some of her dimensions are off-putting: the length of her torso and her legs in comparison with the overall figure or the size of the head, etc. I love the colors and the textures, etc. but that aspect is pulling me out of the image.
