Hi here is my update from godofwar.
Ad some finer details.
Need some critics. I thing the mood is not right.

Hey everybody. Great sillhouettes so far. Edvar - I really dig these, I love the suit on the last sillhouette, #4 looks badass too, like some old tribe god of war. Cant wait to see which one you choose

Awe Secondary, I was really kind of curious where you would have gone with your work. I especially like the little vapor coming out of the skull, it's just a small detail that keeps me interested.

Daniel my daniol, like I've said before, I like your second image much better than your first.

JohanLindroos - Awesome sketch, so very clean already! Can't wait to see what you do with yours.

Malo - Awesome composition! Use that lightning to bring the eye to the focal point, which is the god himself! That orange in the right keeps drawing my attention away from him, gah!

Chrisclay - you have your foreground and background... Now all you need is something in the middle ground! Hehe, and just remember atmospheric perspective, too.

Yongs - Awesome thumbs! I actually like 8, despite it looking spacey. Futuristic gods are welcomed, too. :P

Everyone else, keep going!

EdVas, I had to really think about what animal would be tactical. The only animals who do practice wars to the death are primates and ants. So I kept thinking about humans are the true war machines...

Anyways, took a different approach to sketching tonight. Had a serious debate with myself between warrior vs. war general vs. war god. How would one be able to tell whom is whom...

Somehow, naked humans wearing a burning crown came to my head LOL. I really like the girl, but I'm still kind of nuts bout my lion hybrid... oh, and eagle too...

Still very much a sketch and a simliar layout to Malo, who has inspired me of recent times.... this was actually born out of some simple sky concepts. I hope you like. Please C&C.

My first sketch jam! yaaay. I have my starting point and some ideas floating around, it certainly won't be as good as some of the others here

what i wondered is if anybody could recommend somewhere where i could find some reference pictures related to the topic...i have already tried deviant Art with no luck...maybe i am too fussy..

i'm mainly looking for 'macho' fighting poses and the like.

Dont have much time everyone is doing awesome work, some great concepts so here are some very quick crits:

Malo: His arms look dislocated like they are just a little too far back and arent quite attached to his body

doomsfultace: Nudity is ok as long as its not like pornographic

Edvas: She looks a little too...chubby/round to have such a ripped six pack. Have a look at female body builders if you are going down that route.

Most of you: Watch your anatomy especially if you are drawing humanoid gods/godesses
