Default Sea Dragon... Final?

Finally the final. And in time. This is my sea dragon, complete with some field notes. I have included the bone study, hope It's not outside the requirements.

It resembles the initial example by Todd Lockwood, I know it, but I really liked the idea of a plate from an old textbook. And given that both are dragons, I have always had a very different idea of how to articulate the front limbs and the wings in a dragon than his. Looking at it in a detached way, I feel that Todd's dragon is more functional, having bigger flight muscles that insert in the sternum. Mine are different, with origin in the coracoid bone and spine of the scapula. Those are smaller, nearer areas of insertion, resulting in weaker muscles, but I like the humped outline they give to the animal. And, as you all know, dragons (and jet airliners) fly mainly because of magic, but magic, being higly symbolic, requires an apparently functional structure to work.

The references come next. The first is an example plate from and old zoology text, found somewhere in the internet and stored -with lots of other junk- in my HDD. The others are a few of my compared anatomy books. I mainly used schematics for skeletons and muscles of a seal, a chicken, a bat and a crocodile. I post this photos as I am not sure if it is correct to post scans of the books, because of copyrights. I feel they are a way to convey the reference without infraction, but if this is not according to CGHub rules, please tell me and I will quickly retire them.

@John Silva: I have a small problem. I'm going to be offline from saturday afternoon or so (GMT hour) until more or less the end of monday, (25th of july). I don't know if this poses a problem to presenting the final image. If so, could it be helped some way? Thanks in advance.

No, I won't have time to change anything. Thanks a lot for your help -and compliment- if I'm back in time I'll try to post it myself, but I don't know if that will be possible.

It has been a really interesting challenge, and a good occasion to revise compared anatomy, wich always is a good thing. See you all in the finals!

Smirtouille, Yes that's good enough, its frickin awesome!

alola, You forgot to build the muscles and show your reference (which i mentioned in the description of the jam and several times throughout the challange) you still have today left to complete it! otherwise i can't let you go in the finals

yongs, Yeah that's really nice too! i just think the wings are a bit too small/weak since the body of the hipogriff has heavy muscles, if you could extend the wings abit more it would look more balievable, in my opinion

Excuse me for the question, but is there going to be a finals thread? Or is it going to be in a different forum? Thanks in advance.
