Played around some more, the top one is the original, the bottom one I decided to add Mr T into the game, I'd hate to be in that place when things get ugly....

so guys play around with your piece, the sky is the limit, and most importantly have fun with it : D

Hey Paolo,

just use the attachment manager (green paperclip) as you did, after uploading the image via the attachment manager click on the triangle (right side) and select your uploaded image. Click on it - and thats it

Hope I explained it understandable

btw - nice updates everybody!!! This challenge is pretty inspiring!!

Well that's what I've just done, enough for today, hopefully tomorrow I'll get closer to the end.
I'm not happy about the position of the hiker, you can't really tell that's a camera, but I'm too tired right now to fix it

Also, the leaves suck, they're just a place holder at the moment..

Ah, and at the end of the big branch there will be something pretty, a flower, whatever, to lure preys.

Time can be a big issue in this one, but fortunately I could manage some concepts to start (at least give someone ideas).

What option do you guys think its an interesting choice to paint ? Love to hear..

Hi all, finally had time for some crits of all your amazing work:

@Kovah - Huge Plant!!! awesome... i like it, colourful and good start.

@Corneiius - Great textures... look forward to some more.

@Mellon - nice use of colours, keep pushing it.

@Solo - funny, good stuff.... i kind of like the second tree in your first set of sketches better though, had a lot of character

@Cyl1981 - WOW... i love the use of your subtle style, very well executed.... as is your victom in the piece lol... Nice overall feeling and tones. I'm not sure about Mr T... it looks nice and all but i liked the feel before hand...

@Malo - Great work, love the lighting and atmosphere... an interesting piece.. is the little though burst staying?? or just a queue for us??? i hope it doesn't stay, but thats just my opinion

first post on cghub and here's my idea:

the traveller is exhausted from the burning sun and sees the perfect place to rest under a shadow, unaware he is going straight to the monster's mouth!

Here's the basic idea

I might distant a bit more the two characters, also fix the lighting and add more detail like sand in the air

This overgrown parasitic plant invades trees and uses them as a host. its long vines reach out and engulf anything in its path but it needs food to grow. it feeds on tired and weary travellers gasping for water. and while they quench there thirst it stretches down a vine and catches its prey. c+c welcomed
