    Default The Gallacrag

    Heres my Entry....

The Gallacrag is a silicone based life-form that inhabbit the astroid belt in the Bomor system. Its still unclear how a lifeform such as this could have evolved however exstensive studies of thease hudge creatures has shown some remarkable adaptations to living in space.

It appears they have evolved a group of specialised organs which act as a form of bio-thruster, which propels the creature forward in bursts. This thrust is belived to be the creatures waste, a by- product of its processing solar energy aswell as the breakdown of other minerals from the consumtion of astroids.

A thin skirt of muscula material around which the thrust emitts is made from complex slicates and crystals providing this creature with a type of vector thrusting found on modern fighter aircraft.

The creature appears to gain energy from the systems binary stars via crystal formations located on fins acting like solar panels. Other energies such as Nutrons,UV,Gamma,Alpha and Beta radiation are blieved to be utilised by the creature.

The consumtion of astroid material is carried out by hudge plate like teeth located in the mouth in a circula formation. The minerals consumed is belived to be used in conjuction with the sloar energy as part of the food proccess of the creature.

The creatures sensory organs located either side of its mouth and on a lumb located on its back near the thruster. Tests show thease creatures are able to detected gravitational fields aswell as electromagnetic and photo optical abilities.

Reproduction has yet to be observed and currently theorised that thease creatures produce A-sexualy.

Here is my impression of the gallacrag. They are often mistaken for asteroids by cursory low frequency scans, bit it has been discovered that they are in fact alive and a new species.

They garner their energy from breaking down elements in a kind of fisson process. Their huge bodies have flipper like limbs which expose the interior 'reactor' and collect debris and rock to break down. After the flippers close down back to the body a bio-magnetic field compresses the interior and the reaction takes place, the energy being stored in some kind of biological capacitors.

Humans are interested in their biology because of the efficiency of the fusion process, but as yet approach fgor study has been to dangerous thanks to their enormity and potential to emit high levels of radiation and EMP.

The Gallacrag that travels in asteroid fields feeds on the minerals that are concealed inside the asteroid.

Default Asteroid Beasts from the Crag Nebula

Ever wonder what happens when your kid flushes his deceased pet into the cold vacuum of space? Well, if you happen to be near the strange fusion surrounding the Crag Nebula, it is reborn and evolves into an enormous living mass. Easily confused with asteroids they are an aggregate of mineral and organic carbon based deposits. Their mountainous bulk drifting carefree along a line in space so straight as to astound mathematicians galaxy-wide. We believe these creatures ultimately merge to become planetary masses.Giving rise to speculative theories concerning the origins of life on earth.
