Grimm's Fairy Tales

Challenge Brief

Illustrate any moment out of any story from the Grimm's Fairy Tales book.

Guidelines

- Illustrate a moment out of any Brother's Grimm fairy tale.

- All types of illustration open. ( interior pages, card formats, book covers, magazine covers)

- Working File can be any size you want, finals to be no wider than 1000 pixels ( you can include detail shots if you want).

- Post FINAL image in FINALS THREADS ( to be posted later)

- Post your progress in this thread! Don't be shy!

Good Morning.

Are those fairy tailes "in"? Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters and now that challenge!

Maybe I'll try to join this. Really love fairy tailes!

Is there some "skill-minimum"?
I think I have some skills but.. yeah well, most of the ladies and gentleman here are much more better then me

Lol..im basing my portfolio on grimm fairy tales. Unfortunatly, they're just character designs, not full illustrations! Maybe i'll take a character to the next level for this

i wish i had more time to do this challenge, because i love to draw fairy tales, Brother's Grim especially.

Hehe. My Goldilocks is much more cartoony (and poorly photographed), but I still enjoy the faces I put on my bears... Maybe I'll have to give this one a go, eh?

Sweet Challenge....we'll see if I can get this one done on time....

Story: The Princess & The Frog w/ a Star Wars twist!

I'm thinking a very muted and minimal pallet for this one....a quick sketch and color rough for now. Not sure if I'll do this in PS or traditional inks yet...we'll see where it goes...

Spent a bit more time on doing up a pencil. I'm trying to keep to an old school Rackham illustration. Working in PS using the original doodle from my sketchbook as a template.

Having fun with this so far, good challenge.

By the way, how do you enter it as a poll option when people are voting or does someone else choose the ones that get to be voted on? Mine didn't show up on the last two contests I tried to enter, but maybe I was late...?
