Hi!
My name is Helen Zhang. I'm 21 and currently enrolled at UMBC studying 3d animation. I'm a junior texture and concept artist for video games. I recently worked at Breakaway Games as an intern over the summer. I'm trying to get more portfolio and 3D work done so I'll be ready for a full time position after graduating. I'm the illustrator for my college's paper, and I have a weekly comic strip that I've done for almost two years every week without fail. I like cats, raptors, argyle, vanilla, coconut, and video games. My favorites are Portal, Oblivion, Mass Effect, Katamari, and Okami. ![]() http://helenzhangart.com Last edited by Lokklyn; 09-03-2008 at 02:00 PM. |

Heya, I'm Jessie, and I'm living on the border of Markham and Toronto. I came here through friends of friends of Peter Chan, it was quite amusing to hear how fast the news goes down the grapevine especially within the first week of the site opening.
I've had a few years under my belt as a professional comic colourist although the only titles I've worked on were Rotogin: Junkbotz under Image Comics and Neozoic under Red 5 Comics. Eventually I'd like to move onto doing my own thing provided I have the time and effort to do so. Got a Bachelor's degree in Animation from Sheridan, I'm currently doing a bit of freelance so I can get a variety of working experience that I can apply into a 9-5 in film, animation, or games. I've had odd jobs in helping build a stop motion set for an HP commercial, colouring an animated walk cycle for a music video, and storyboarding 3 commercials in 3 days for a credit card ad. My passion in life is storytelling. I love throwing out crazy plot ideas, watching films [animated or no], and reading lots of oneshot graphic novels. I'm also a big soundtrack freak, always looking out for an album that stands out on its own and still works with whatever movie or game it shows up in. ![]() [I'm the little asian girl on the left.] My site - http://axl99.net |

Hello, I am a 23 year old artist. I'm from San Diego but grew up in the Washington DC area where I currently reside. I attended the Savannah College of Art and Design for several years where I studied animation, graphic design and sequential art before dropping out in 2007 (I regret not continuing my studies).
I'm desperately searching for more steady and legitimate professional work, haha. I'm currently a freelance Illustrator, mostly doing commissions for private clients and independent publications. Recently my work has been published in several art books, the latest being Udon's Street Fighter Tribute. I'm trying to advance my work to pro-level, but I'm not quite there yet! For samples of my art - http://burritochan.net/, http://uponthoufaircat.deviantart.com/ Cooking is something I enjoy and try to do as often as possible. I also like to compose and record bad music and dabble in sound-engineering. For samples of my music - http://burritochan.net/music/ So far I am impressed with this community and site!
