"XX and its friends" 2010 Shanda Games Creative Cartoon Competition has finished its judgment period and its curtain has descended in February 28, 2011. Over one thousand designers joined, and over eight hundred pieces of amazing artworks have been gathered during the calling period of this competition.

After the intensive and professional accreditation of the judging panel of "XX and its friends", the list of the finalist designs and the TOP 5 ones were came out of the many outstanding entries. And they are:

The 1st Prize: Maple and its Friends
Designer: Aisleen Romao (ID: AisleenRomano)

Award: Wacom Cintiq 21UX, Plus 10,000 RMB
Haitao Su (Judge): The most admirable features of this design is the vivid and lovely modeling, and delicate matches of the tall, short, fat, thin characters. The designer's skills of cartoon modeling are showed through the characters' distinct personalities, the harmonious bright and beautiful colors, and the simple and smooth line. This works can fully meet the requirements of cartoon modeling design features.


The 2nd Prize: Houyige and Its Friends
Designer: Zhen Liu (ID: E.T)

Tom Bancroft (Judge): This idea is a lot of fun and will make for a great kids game. I love the unique character designs of the bear, the rabbit, and the monkey. Each has an interesting, but safe weapon. This could be a very funny idea and a very colorful game.


The 3rd Prize: Captain Gougoushou and His Friends
Designer: Yinlin Yan (ID: elin color)

Daisong Guan (Judge): It is a very unique works. The design of X is impressive.


The 4th Prize: Aqiang and His Friends
Designer: Liang Fang (ID: leaonF)

Steven Yuan (Judge): The design of the character is unique and funny. It is suitable for the cartoon games and animation. But it is a pity that the design of the main character Aqiang seems unnatural while matching the other characters.


The 5th Prize: Hen and His Friends
Designer: Heng Zhang (ID: Heng-D)

Stephen Silver (Judge): Fun , unique, iconic and cute. Would make cool toys.
