Hi dear community,
I experience really annoying problems with color on the pictures I create. For a same picture, between what i have on photoshop or opened in painter, or what i get when sent on internet, it is awfully different and i do not know where to look at.
I know that my 2 screens are far from being the best on earth, and I had no money yet to buy a good one as well as a calibration device (but it will happen in the next month).
I have chosen on photoshop CS5 the following color settings:
RGB : adobe rgb 1998
cmyk : us web coated swop v2
gray : dot gain 20%
spot : dot gain 20%
policy :
RGB, CMYK gray : preserve embedded profiles. I quote all the profile mismatches and so on.
Painter XI color management settings:
default rgb : adobe rgb 1998
defaut cmyk conversion : us web coated swop v2
Color profile policies : Rgb images ans convert cmyk : use embedded profile.
Color engine : windows cms.
rendering intent : perceptual.
Here is an example of what i get when making a picture on photoshop, then open in painter, save as again in a new file in painter and reopen in photoshop. quite funny.
I noticed that if i was desactivating the color management in painter (the little tv on the right), the problem was disappearing. But when i then try to save as the picture, the problem is just getting awful again.
Ï precise that i only work on one of the screens to make my painting, my tools are always on the second one.
I am lost, i hope you will have some kind of solutions :s.
UPDATE : it seems i have fixed the problem between photoshop aind painter by changing the photoshop conversion options intent to "perceptual" as it is in painter. Though, when i send the picture on internet or when i visualize it with the window viewer, the picture is all 10 times darker, solarised and so on :s
