JohnSilva - i like the clothing. still too early to say. so not sure what material it is supposed to be.. -hmm maybe try to make her legs a little bit closer to one another..

mindbender - good start. really early to say too. but maybe watch how clothes behave underwater

MaximVerehin - nice work man! but yeah. briefs said character must be human + some clothing..

Azium - nice start as well. but you might want to check the anatomy though. i think the problem lies on the torso; neck and shoulders + the waist too.

slc - i think the head is fine. in accordance with her body. maybe try to make her hands smaller + her arms a bit thinner. her chest more define. and i think you made her legs; waist to knees, too long

-i like the topic. cuz i really like underwater scenes. i actually made something similar on last dj's pin up which i couldn't submit. so this is another cool chance

i really like the idea of the character floating just near the surface.
~is it possible to have two characters in one. like on my last sketch..? just a question though

Yea you can have two chars man, woah really nice sketching here, guys we should follow his example and do much more sketching and experiment (or at least post the experiment)

Guys you're all doing awsome really, keep posting guys, there's no such think as too many wips, keep updating!

I re-did the whole thing on mine and i kinda wanna to "complete" the design and move only to color and render without worrying with the whole Drawing/anatomy/color/ambient/render all at once.

I usually stream the challenges on my livestream, so if you wanna join in go to http://www.livestream.com/johnsilva, I always warn on my sketchbook and facebook whenever i start it up.

On advice given previously in this thread, I've shortened her thighs a bit and given a bit more attention to her hand and busom area (but do still plan to work on that more). I also laid in some rough texture and tone to give the image a bit more depth and variety. I may end up just redoing her clothing but i think i need to firm up the anatomy first and get some more details in.

Thoughts?

@slc, looking good man

@mindbender, nice to see you've been studying the model first then reaching for the illustration, i still cant make up whats in the illustration tho, looks abit too abract, maybe start defining the model values first?

@irawan, nice to see you back again! great start! just watchout for those really saturated base colors, anyway you know what you're doing

its a sketch so.

I havent got much time on my piece but well i gave base colors, now onto rendering and enhancing the colors and values:

Here's my update, only now i got to start painting over the lineart, i need timeeeeee haha as usual, but i'll make it on time! Is her face too big? i have a feeling that yes but my fiance said its just right.

Don't forget, deadline if for tomorrow, hope you'll make it!

Whoa, you guys are really awesome! I'm sorry i have to back out from anatomicae for the first time ever, cause this is wayyyy out of my league! Even if i'm not busy i don't think the deadline is enough for me to come out with decent anatomy and cloth in water. D:

Okay - i still feel like this has a ways to go, but I'm out of time having some other things i need to attend to. I will probably tweak it more outside of the activity, so any comments or criticisms are welcome.

@slc, looks good so far but you can see its still not finished obviously, i'd recomend you to double check her right arm, maybe have it in a different position?
