Default Anatomicae #8 -Underwater gestures

Welcome to the Anatomicae weekly activity! As you can see, there are 12 spots (12 weeks) on the banner to showcase a thumbnail for the first 12 study winners!

--------------------------------------------------------------

Underwater gestures
Explanation, what should i do now?:
-Your objective for this round is to do a study of a Gesture pose and its clothes behavior, color and light underwater in a single image. We're paying especial attention to the visual Anatomy of the bodyand how clothes, color and light behaves .

- The Gesture pose don't have to be exactly the same as in the Main subject
-Let's see how well you can convey that in your image!

-its always cool if you can set up your own stuff (like taking your own pictures on the pool, as long as you follow the objective! But its not a must to.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Subjects explanation:

-Main subject (the subject you Have to create and study): model
-Second subject (the one which with your Observation you will paint/draw into the main subject):The Ocean/underwater
-Reference: (this will help you to study how to convey the behavior of clothes, colors and light by yourself)

-You don't have to do exactly the same colors or Gestures pose or clothing design, you can always try to be creative while still spot on the objectives! .

-------------------------------------------------------------Week #08 ::

START: November 28th 2010 (Sunday)

END: December 11th 2010 (Saturday) at 23:00 GMT+1 (Berlin,Wroclaw)

OR

Second Subject: Under water

I'm not completely clear on the rules here. I've already started my entry, but it doesn't really resemble the "main subject" in any way. Is that going to be a problem? It still has all the critera

As long as you have a "model" inside the water with any kind of clothes then you can post it

To make it summarized and even more simpler - Create a Fashionable character inside the water striking a pose, I'm going to extend the deadline as i think i wasn't too clear with the rules and stuff, sorry about that guys

I was a bit confused as well. Would the below pic be a reasonable entry? After more work is done of course, there's plenty of details I want to add.

Azium, That's fine but the only thing is that the character must be human, a Fashionable model to be precise.

Greetings all - i'm pretty new to CGHub, but figured I'd give this a try. Here's a WIP so far.

I want to clear up the hands and clarify the body a bit then I'll figure out fabric that drapes about her a bit more - perhaps a silken scarf as well?

Additionally, @John - Could you please clarify which is the correct extended date? Dec 5 is tomorrow (Sunday) but the date lists a Wednesday instead.

            Beautiful WIPs.

These Anatomicae challenges seem like a great and very fun way to practice.

Not quite sure I'll have time to finish before deadline, but I'll start with a study of the main subject...brb

EDIT: Ok, quick study of the female model:

A quick WIP I whipped up last night. I don't know if I'll have time to finish this due to unrelated deadlines. Loving every one else's work, good luck!

More work in progress. Roughing in some colour. There have been a few fixes to the legs and overall angle. I think i will try to make it look more like she's floating and not sitting. Is her head too small?
