I <3 CGHub something fierce... for the reason you mentioned... its a big ocean with very little fish... so you better be huge, shinny and glowing in the dark to get noticed here! Well... I'm rather shocked that the books you bought specifically about storyboarding don't have information on the arrows you see in "storyboards" rather ironic... only cause they are like a very important part of story boards. And yes for the most part they indicate camera movement... not object movement. Normally an arrow moving left, right, up, or down indicates camera "panning" in that direction. An arrow pointing into the or out of the frame... tends to mean zooming or camera moving inward. oop... gotta go sorry.
