High quality art and storytelling in large comic panes is the goal here. The more work that can be distributed more effectively, the better for us in achieving a rapid update schedule that does not sacrifice art quality or storytelling. Payment will be on a per-page basis; I'm willing to negotiate with you based on the quality of your art.
I need someone capable of working regularly. The most successful webcomics I know of all update at least three times a week. That is my goal, though it's not necessary that we set that kind of pace immediately - we need time to get to know each other. Stability picks up readers, instability costs them, so I'd rather not do an 'update as I may' schedule, which is currently pretty close to what I've been doing.
And here's what we'll be doing: Urban fantasy. Simply put, The Anteheroes is a webcomic about many things. Built upon an ensemble cast, it follows would-be gods, covert military operatives, wizards, shamans, and crimelords. Action, comedy, drama and philosophy are all central elements of the story, and we avoid leaning too heavily on one particular element. Variety is both the spice and the rule of life; The Anteheroes is not comprised of a single storyline, but a reality based on a world much like our own. There'll be a certain amount of wit, but I have a rather serious outline constructed.
Comic page' format (Dr. McNinja, Questionable Content, Order of the Stick) as opposed to newspaper strip (see: Penny Arcade, Sluggy Freelance). Feel it advances a bit more plot per update, allows bigger chunks without a punchline.
If you come on board, I fully expect and welcome feedback on the thoughts of where the story is going, even if I don't want them at the time. (Though I probably will.)
