OK so I joined the site recently after looking at it for a while and it's time to start posting some stuff here. Please forgive me if I screw this up, this is my first post!

These are some of the works I've made in 2010:

Hey nice paintings! I think you have a great handle on light - particularly the one with the giant and the warrior guy - looks awesome!

      Default I'm a slacker

Greetings once again, I've really not been drawing much lately. Hopefully my motivation comes back soon.

Alex: Thanks a lot for the compliment, was looking through your blog and not only is it one of the most awesomeliest designed blogs I've ever seen, your art rocks and makes mine look like crap.

Anyways, these all 3 have linux in common, though the last two were finished in windows with Photoshop:

Default A recent frenzy has overtaken me...

After about 1.5 years of art depression I feel I have my gusto back, I've made some strides forward lately and here are some of my updates:

Hi Niva, welcome to the Hub.

First I wanna say that I like that you are doing a lot from imagination. But you should focus on the fundamentals too. Try to do more studies, I think your personal work needs more anatomy knowledge. But the lighting looks good and you got some good ideas going. And one last thing: try to avoid direct violence like in post #9. Of course it always depends on what you want to tell but in the concept/cg area you dont need it and some people might not like it too much ( not me, but others )

Noro thanks a lot for leaving a comment and the kind words.

I'm looking for specific critique so about the anatomy sometimes I know what the problems are, other times it's hard for me to see. It's something I am trying to work on though and I agree with that sentiment.

About the violence, I don't care what other people think. It's my art and if people don't like it they can f themselves. That's actually a scene from a book. As far as concept stuff goes I've been commissioned a couple times to draw violent scenes and it' perfectly normal and does represent a skillset. Anyways cheers and once again thanks for leaving a comment.

Your imagination is really prolificient, and that is good to always have a feather in one's bag ! work more on the anatomy, for example some of your necks are too long, and some boobies too big. You must also put the spontaneous strenght you have in some of your best pencils sketchs in your digital pieces, as I have always said to some, don't overwork them, also give a more focused light on the area you wana highlights, things will be better, you can leave some parts in shadow or really less detailled. Use also a really thin brush on litle details to make your pieces more eyes's catchy !
Don't hesitate to be inspired by real clothes to make yours, and you will gain in realism. Anyway keept it up !
