        @karmajf tks,
        i think the trail should be a lot thinner, maybe one trail which splits into 2 ends.
        i really like the head. the body pose reminds me on ghostbusters "the key maker"

          Nice work everyone!

          @karmajf If you are going by the original concept, it looks as if the creature has six tails total, I would suggest making them in almost a fan type fashion. Or, they could not be tails and just be large tufts of fur. Try to think of the function of that anatomy. They could be used for balance on the icy hunting grounds, they could be used to help burrow into a snowdrift. finding a reason will help you design how they function and determine their form.

          @Schwungsau
          Love the worm idea. The salt solution to melt snow is fantastic. The sculpt is coming along nicely. I am going to suggest really pushing that aspect of the creature design. Giant worms have been done plenty of times, take that idea you have and make yours unique. Try to find a way to explain how this creature moves through the icy landscape through your art. maybe some flying bits of water crystallizing around the creature as it surfaces? maybe a geyser type phenomenon happens when this creature surfaces due to the temperature difference between the borrow with melted salt water and the subzero environment? I would also try to incorporate some steam into the final piece if possible. I feel that having heavy amounts of steam could tell the viewer a little more about how this creature functions.

          @Nifelfang
          Nice concept, and the model you have started on looks like a great start. I might suggest putting a little more fat on him, or maybe a kind of oily otter fur, that way the musculature can come through and you don't have people questioning how a reptile like creature is living on a frozen over planet.

          @ASela
          Same comment as Nifelfang. Your creature is very reptillian, and does not look to have that much fat on its body. Try to show us how this creature lives its life on the frigid planet of Xeemia. Under water hot springs? Constantly moving and hunting? Let us know what you are thinking if you would like some feedback

          @Odiuz
          Lets see some more posts! You mentioned you recently started working in Zbrush. Congrats! There is no better time to start, and no better place to practice than here. *coughmaybezbrushcentralcough* Reguardless, this is a great place to learn and improve. You have a start on your creature, finish it! My first critique is that you jumped to tertiary detail a little too soon. Work on those primary (silhouette/basic form proportion) and secondary (muscle forms) before working on tertiary (skin/hide detail) forms. I did the same thing when I started with Zbrush.
          As far as the horns go, I think they would be more useful to this type of passive hunter as mandibles or something to grasp prey with, especially if it is snake like. Throw some extra rows of teeth in there so prey doesn't get away. Having prey escape from this predictor would be most unfortunate.
          Bottom line, Keep Zbrush Open!

          Good work Everyone! It is always exciting to see more progress as the deadline approaches.
          Also, part of being an artist is learning to give, receive and discuss critiques. Let's see some more constructive criticism on this thread so we may all improve and learn from each other.

          Thanks Lucid , I actually have been doing research, I talked to Scorge about it, it's to 5 tails, three coming from the spine and 2 coming for the where the pelvis and the femur meets. And I guess the best option is that they are used for balance, since he is such a massive creature, it should be a bit sloppy when its time to run.

          @LucidCognition: thnx for the feedback!
          Have tried to put some more fat on him but don't know were to put it. I put some on his arms, but then he just looked silly.
          I have made some reference gathering and found some pics of walruses, thinking of heading in that direction.
          The fur idea is nice too! Don't know how to model that though.. Or maybe it's a texturing issue?

            You're welcome guys! I am glad to see my feedback has helped you.
            @karmajf Great! What better source than Scorge? I agree that balance would make the most sense.

            @Nifelfang Great update! I would suggest putting some more muscle and fat above his pelvis, top thighs and arm. I would also suggest lengthening the arms. Keep in mind that if this creature swims with a sidewards motion, it will have a powerful core. Right now this mid section looks a bit too flimsy. I believe you can still have the silhouette you are looking for while adding some more meat in there. Adding muscle above the pelvis may also help make his core more powerful.

            Keep up the good work, and keep Zbrush open!

                I hope I get a chance to enter this round of creature planets. We'll have to see. I nthe meantime I'm really excited seeing where everybody's creatures are going!
                @Nifelfang - I love the dynamic gesture your guy has between that barrel chest and his little waist. The design is really fun I'll be waiting with bated breath for the next update.
                @Karmajf - Love the agressive forward nature of this one. The flow of his horns (tentacles?) going over his shoulders.
                @ASela - I want one of these as a pet. Love the flow.

                  i don't know guys, but my idea for this challenge is to make an ice phoenix ice, that her feathers will be like ice crystals.
                  the way that i'm building is using polygonal modeling, grouping objects like cristals to build the body.
                  I render a test of the body, with the material that look like ice in mentalray.
                  I really appreciate some comments and opinions about this.
