I think a good way to address this would be to use a famous (or not so famous, just something cool) Anime, or Film as the premise: where the artist can model anything they wish from it i.e. a vehicle, prop, character, etc.

This way we can keep the current prize structure, while making it accessible to everyones preferred discipline (characters, vehicles, props, etc)
