I love the thumbnail! It's one of the most memorable scenes from the movie, I think, it certainly creeped me out as a kid.

A lil tighter... any feedback from TNS fans would be awesome... does it feel right?

ionic: You really nailed Falcor, his cute little face I think this is an awesome solid start, but I feel like you're doing Artax (the horse) a disservice by not showing his whole face -I really like the flow of the composition, but he just feels a little cut off maybe? Looks freakin awesome though!

        Default My addition

This is my little addition. It's done - and I'm so sorry I could not add text -- whenever I try the Text Tool in CS5 my Photoshop crashes into oblivion.

Anyway, I finished this quickly/early because I am headed to San Diego Comic Con and I wanted to also work on a couple more portfolio pieces before I head out.

Just my sorry attempt. Title text would go at the top, author at the bottom. Sorry I couldn't add it!!

I like your layout idea Ionic and the lines are firming up well, but I think I would prefer to see a three bands of color approach like neapolitan ice cream or something. The warmish stuff across the bottom works for me, but the two thirds above are a little overwhelmingly violet. That is what caused me to think of the third color trend across the top.

RobRey: Nah I'm just on your brain waves ... but honestly... I think you should drop Bastian and put the the "Nothingness" wolf in the background... like his beady ass eyes larger than life looking at the camera... think it would pop a lot!

RobRey, love this so much, so much movement and action, and I love the frame -- quite beautiful. I don't think you even need Bastien down there at all!
