Default Anatomicae #2 -Eye anatomy&reflections

Welcome to the Anatomicae weekly activity! As you can see, there are 12 spots (12 weeks) on the banner to showcase a thumbnail for the first 12 study winners!

--------------------------------------------------------------

Eye anatomy&reflections
Explanation, what should i do now?:
Your objective for this round is to do a study of two different objects (in this case, an eye and a environment reflection, in a single image. We're paying especial attention to the visual Anatomy of the eye and Reflection of it
- Let's see how well you can convey that in your image!

[b]-its always cool if you can set up your own stuff (like looking into the mirror and see the how your eye reflects your surroundings) as long as you follow the objective!

--------------------------------------------------------------
My own example on this one:

(I'll edit this one soon with my own example)

-Main subject (the image you Have to re-create and study): EYE

-Second subject (the one which with your Observation you will paint it into the eye):Environment

-Reference: (this will help you to study how to convey the reflection on the eye by yourself)

-please don't feel obligated to do exactly the same colors or eye position, you can always try to be creative while still spot on the objectives! .
--------------------------------------------------------------
Week #02 ::

START: July. 12th 2010 (Monday)

END: July. 17th 2010 (Saturday) at 22:00 GMT+1 (Berlin,Wroclaw)

--------------------------------------------------------------

Main Subject: (Choose one)

OR

Second Subject:

Help Reference (This image is just to show/help you with how things works, you don't have to use it):

---------------------------------------------------------------

You don't have to feel obligated to show any WIPs, but it will get you more cookies if you do so

Please make sure to attach your Final image with CGHUB’s attachment manager.

Please make sure to read Anatomicae topic propositions/How it will work

If there's something you can't understand just pm me or check the previous week challenge.
Good luck everyone

Oh wow... talk about increasing the difficulty. Reflexion, shadow + cityscape in perspective. Sounds interesting, I'm in

      Do we have to paint our own eye?
      I tought we could do one of the photo's, so I started painting the second eye picture with the blue in it

      Ahhhh this was so hard :C I painted the eye from life and eyeballed the city... the second image is an experiment where I overlaid the original photo you provided, just to see what happens. Hmm :/

      This is what is looks like without the city:

      I think I'll have to practice more, I'm not happy at all.

      Dona, you need to copy one of the two eyes and add the reflexion of the citiyscape. It's not too late to start on a new study

      Here is my work so far:

      Will work on the reflexion later and add details when I'm done with that.

      No, you CAN use your own eye as a living reference but you DON'T have to, just use the images I gave up there just like the previous challenge!

      @Dona:
      Nice going! you still have a good few days ahead of you, the most important is to get the Main subject as correct as possible (the Anatomy of the eye) and the Second subject is the second most important thing (the reflection), so if you can give it a go a bit more.

      Tip: the biggest reflection and distortion happens around the Iris and cornea (see the reference up there)

      Ah ok - so I could use my own eye as reference? That would be even more of a challenge. And I would have to paint my glasses as well, haha

      I took my glasses off :P

      Yeah, painting from life is so much harder, but I learn more that way. The iris is a bitch to paint (or see correctly IRL... I was poking my eye out with a pocket mirror D: )

      John, thanks for the heads up. I'll see if I can find some time tomorrow... damn reflections!

        @Engelszorn:
        Its looking really good so far, will be waiting for your wips!

        @Dona:

        Haha, that must be fun poking your eye "out", show us some wips!

        @Pernilles:
        Oh, that's really cool, i would just advise you to make some Eye fish Perspective on the reflection and bring out the skin pores! you still have time keep it up!
