Honestly, I can't see much regimentation in Crimson Daggers. Maybe they are talking about specific stuff, but to an outsider they just seem to be drawing whatever/whenever.
I know you wanted to make this relevant as an actual job skills development activity (as Creature Planet seems to have done somewhat), except related to human figurative work. We've already seen elsewhere that a sequential activity is doomed, and I guess this illustration activity is also beset with challenges.
For some reason all the cg people just want to draw characters without troubling themselves over a back story. Here is an idea I have that might cater to that (rather lazy in my opinion) trend.
Perhaps you can have "Army of the Week," or "Gang of the Week" with the idea being that teams form up of people who each draw a character and then the characters of the team become a unit against which other team units are polled. Of course, females have to be worked in variously (a la " Female Roller Derby Team" week. Maybe teams can be formed up based on media (Painter versus Photoshop versus Illustrator).
There are other ways such as males versus females, old timers versus whippersnappers, or team "Bring Out Your Dead" versus team "Pink Unicorns with Lens Flare" that could happen. I've seen the "team thing" have mixed results, but you have to admit that teamwork is also an important job skill.
Please visit the "New Worlds" recurring Activity.

Nickillus, and everyone else, I'm moving the discussion over to the discussion thread so we're not cluttering this up.
schaturvedi - since you're the only one who did any work for this round, I think it's safe to say you won it Unless you *really* want, I don't see the necessity of setting up a poll.
