What you're supposed to do, in bullets.
- On Her Majesty's Secret Service wiki
- Front Cover Only - psd template below.
- Update the look for the book cover, but keep it swanky.

- Working file can be any size you want, finals to be no wider than 1000 pixels (you can include detail shots if you want).
- Post FINAL image in FINALS THREAD (to be posted later).
- Cover design is up to the artist - you can use the template, or design your own. (Keep it the same dimensions, though).

Please don't keep everything secret, working on your image in private only to post it at the very last hour as a surprise. The point of sharing sketches and work in progress material is so everyone can learn from each other, receive crits, compliments and improve their skills in a classroom/workshop like environment. There are no teachers and no students per say, but try to offer help to others when possible. Please be open to receiving crits, and paint-overs or mock ups of your work, as we are all here to participate, have fun, learn, grow and enjoy what each week has to offer.

DEADLINE: 5PM PACIFIC STANDARD TIME MONDAY, APRIL 16th.

Hello again, all! Sorry for jumping in so close to the deadline, I've actually been doing thumbnails for this since the topic was announced but haven't had the time to do anything solid 'cause of school. Here's the final drawing on toned paper. Hopefully I'll have time to do the oil painting this weekend.

I wanted to focus on the idea of Bond's doomed marriage in the book, and picked the scene at the end just after he's been thrown from the Lancia. Tomorrow I'm going to try to do a color study and I'll post some of the thumbnails I did along with it.

By the way, how do you make attached images appear in full size? :P

Started the actual painting, it's the first time I'm doing snow so there's a lot of editing to do. Anyone know where I can find good photo reference where everything isn't completely blown out?

It's also probably worth noting that the color hasn't photographed properly at all :P. The light areas of the snow are actually quite yellow.
