        and a tiny update on my doodle i started last time. Doesnt turn out to good, should plan such stuff out more.

                  Did this livepainting some months ago forgot to post it in my sketchbook, so here it is with a failed one from today.





                  "finished" the charakter...so frustrating i liked the sketch alot more.

                      Here's a valuable tip for lighting characters. In sunlight, the core shadow will be halfway to black from the value of the same surface in light. So if you choose 20% for the brightest bright on your surface (not counting the highlight) your core shadow value (once again, in sunlight) will be 60%. Then the less ambient light there is, the darker the shadow will get.

                      Other than that, I feel like the colours on your guy are too saturated. In my experience with skintone, the most saturated part is in halftone. Colours are also a lot easier to pick when you get your values right.

                      The purple cloth looks cool though. MORE IMAGINATION!
